  • Kat Ashley was Governess to Princess Elizabeth and went on to be her Chief Lady of the Bedchamber when Elizabeth became Queen of England. The two woman shared a very close relationship

 

  • . Kat has been well educated for she taught Elizabeth astronomy, geography, history, mathematics, French, Flemish, Italian and Spanish. In addition, she taught Elizabeth skills such as needlework, embroidery, dancing, riding, and deportment
